The 3rd annual Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix (CVGP) did not disappoint. The entries of Vintage cars and bikes were quite spectacular and varied. There was everything from a Datsun 240Z, 356 Porsches, a Shelby Daytona, vintage sprint cars and the amazing curves of a Ferrari P4.
But in this post we are going to concentrate on the array of Vintage Motorcycles that the CVGP had tearing it up on the streets of Downtown Coatesville, Pa. Norton, Vincent, Triumph, Indian, Honda and even Harley were represented among the Bikes running.
The Coatesville Gran Prix is great place to see and hear old iron and the beautiful styling of rides from yesteryear. A must see, or maybe participation should be had for lovers of Vintage Racing next year.
Stay tuned for our post on the amazing cars of the CVGP coming soon.
The City of Coatesville has probably seen better times and part of the purpose of this race is to help redevelopment.
The downtown portion still has quite a few beautiful old buildings and colorful storefronts and I wanted to capture some of that in my images with the Bikes.
Love the detail and color of the old bikes and elements that go along with Vintage racing.
And then there is 95 year old Ed Fisher. Suiting up and hanging it out with the rest of the racers on his Triumph.
Stay tuned for the cars in our next posting from the Coatesville Invitational Vintage GrandPrix.
