Global Time Attack invades NJMP
It was my first time attending & shooting a Global Time Attack racing event. I love the mix of cars participating in the series. Everything from the enthusiast level cars to the all out giant winged spoiler and splitter Unlimited creations.
A Global Time Attack racing is a type of Motorsport in which the racers compete for the best lap time. This stop on the tour was at the NJ Motorsports Park Lightning track.
Time attack events began in Japan in the mid-1960s and Global Time Attack was started around 2004.
The Global Time Attack rule books states, “Vehicles must be mass production road going vehicles, constructed by a recognized manufacturer,
The OEM floor pan and shock tower locations must remain intact. All vehicles must have a silhouette that is largely faithful to the original with the general body shape and outline remaining largely true to the original stock body.”
After that a lot of creativity and aero packaging come into play.
