Formula Drift at the Englishtown drift track
2021 marks the return of Formula Drift back to New Jersey. Not at Wall Stadium as in years past, but over at the the new Drift Course at Raceway Park, Englishtown NJ.
Round 3, The Autozone Gauntlet presented by Type S, had packed 32 car fields for both Pro and Prospec cars.
The new Drift track at Englishtown was new for a lot of the Drivers. Many said that it was much more technical then they thought it would be, but the vibes at the NJ track were quite loose.
The new track utilizes the tower and first half of the historic NHRA drag strip, combined with the newly added figure 8 sections.
The shredding tire smoke of Formula Drift makes for some great imaging to play with.
There is nothing like the music these high horsepower motors produce. High revving, at the limiter music!
In racing school they tell you to look where you want the car to go. Drifting is the perfect example of this. Notice where Evan Bogovich, Derek Madison, Nick Bobach & Ryan Litteral heads are facing.
