The Queen of Speed

Racing on the beach, particularly The Race of Gentlemen, brings many different types of people, cars and media to this spectacle.
One of those feeling the need to race in the sand is Ray Everham. Famed Nascar crew chief and driver in his own right. Ray built a vintage race car for TROG, but this one was for his Wife to drive, racer Erin Evernham.
Ray also produces and hosts a TV series called Americarna. This video of ours shows the build up to the first pass of the “Queen of Speed” while racing at “The Race of Gentlemen”.
I tried to capture what it feels like waiting in the staging lanes, right up until you drop the clutch and hang on while the car fishtails off of the starting line.
Racing at TROG is definitely an experience I think everyone should try at least once in their lives.
