Building the Bull | Race prepping the Lamborghini Super Trofeo race car
Motor House’s short Film ” Building the Bull”
Is a look into the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 race program at Forty7 Motorsports.
I’ve wanted to make a short film on these cars for awhile now, as I have grown to love the lines and angles of this EVO2 design.
The aero package on this model is work of art. From the Omega front lip to the honeycomb/hexagonal shapes throughout the design. The honeycomb form is in everything, from the interior gauges, body panels, aero vents, to headlight shapes. It is also the shape of some of the molecules of carbon fiber that Lamborghini is using in its cars.
We got an all access look into how these amazing super car race cars get built into the EVO2 trim for racing in the IMSA Super Trofeo series.
The bonus for me was that we got to chase one of their cars around the NJMP track with my Camera Car. It was a great experience hearing the V10 growl next to us as we tried to keep up with this beast. Pretty darn cool having one of these blast past you at speed.
*Oh and fun fact, well more like a learned lesson actually. The rolling shots were done with our Ultra Arm equipped Camera Car, Mantis. We had 15 minutes during a track lunch break to get the rolling shots on track at NJMP. Which meant pushing hard trying to keep up with the Lambo. The fun fact I learned is, don’t park your car with hot tires on anything that has gravel. With all the weight of the camera gear my tires were toast. Literally hot semi melted toast that absorbed anything it touch. Hot tire pick up is real! I lost half of my tread height and it took several days to get all the stones out. Fun lesson learned. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the short film.
If you’d like top roast more of my tires, consider hiring us to track your vehicle with our Ultra Arm equipped Camera Car “Mantis”.
